I am a senior level multimedia and instructional design professional focused on developing digital learning solutions that communicate clearly, engage audiences meaningfully, and support real‑world performance. Throughout my career, I have partnered with public and private organizations to design video‑based and interactive learning experiences that translate complex information into practical, usable knowledge. This site offers an introduction to my professional background, experience, and selected work. I invite you to explore my portfolio and connect to discuss how thoughtful multimedia design can support your organization’s goals.

A Brief Autobiography

Boone-Hall2

I am a Florida Native, raised on a farm in “the middle of nowhere” Alabama. My graduation from high school was uneventful if not miraculous. I attended a small Christian college in Montgomery, then Alabama Christian College, now Faulkner University, thanks to a local Church of Christ minister, Curtis Posey. Mr. Posey, cobbled together support to get me through my first two years of higher education. I earned a music scholarship and transferred to another very small Christian college in Villanova, Pa. The college, Northeastern Christian Junior College was housed in a mansion formerly owned by Pat Boone. There I lived in a closet – a real closet, with my Japanese, non-english speaking roommate. Upon graduation, I earned an additional scholarship at Freed-Hardeman College near Carl Perkins, Tennessee where I completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biblical studies and a minor in psychology. I then moved to Tuscaloosa and completed a Master of Arts degree in Special Education from the University of Alabama, graduating top of my class with honors and voted the most outstanding student in the field. I enjoyed graduate school! I hold a Masters Degree in Emotional Conflict and graduated with honors in Emotional Conflict. (I think this could be a Seinfeld episode.)

After I graduated, I worked in the classroom with students with emotional and behavioral disorders in Tuscaloosa and in Gwinnett County, Georgia. My years in Gwinnett county were divided between teaching and technology support. I worked as a teacher, technology trainer, customer support specialist, local school technology coordinator, and as a special education paraprofessional and full-time graduate student.

In 2013, I completed a second Master of Science degree in Educational Media Design and Technology from Full Sail University Online. I again graduated top of my class with honors. My experience at Full Sail was nothing short of amazing and underscored my passion for digital  multimedia learning technology and using multimedia and video to move both student and adult learning forward. For the past few years, I have worked in multimedia learning discovering new and exciting ways to teach, entertain, and inform through multimedia. I have developed online training courses with Lectora and Captivate. I have also developed scripts, videos, and in-person training assist with Word and PowerPoint. Not to mention the odd workbook and promotional video.

Since graduating from Full Sail, I have worked as a freelance multimedia professional supporting small businesses by producing promotional, trade show, and informational videos. I later joined Catmedia, where I was assigned to a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contract. Collaborating with a highly skilled team of developers, artists, and subject‑matter experts, I helped design award‑winning laboratory safety training programs. I supported CDC initiatives for over four years, including serving as lead instructional designer for the CDC’s initial OneLAB VR program—a virtual reality laboratory training platform that enables scientists to practice critical skills safely in an immersive environment.

I also contributed to the Emergency Operations Center, helping develop infection prevention and control training for inspectors deployed during the 2016 Ebola outbreak. In 2020, I returned to the CDC to support updates and enhancements to previously developed laboratory safety training.

More recently, I was employed by Solers Research Group as an instructional designer supporting government contracts, where I developed instructor‑led and online training for FDIC Corporate University. In this role, I edited and updated multimedia learning experiences, real‑world scenarios, video, and objective‑based assessments. As of April 3, 2026, my employment concluded following the natural end of the contract, resulting in a company‑wide reduction in staff—an expected outcome in contract‑based government work.

I enjoy partnering with organizations to transform complex challenges into engaging, meaningful multimedia learning solutions that help people grow into more confident and capable professionals. Driven by curiosity, an insatiable desire to learn, and personal continuous improvement, I am eager to explore new approaches to digital learning and storytelling. I invite you to view my portfolio and reach out to discuss how we might create something impactful together.
